As we mentioned above, the Wagoneer S is a fully electric vehicle, meaning the wheels are driven by a 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a pair of electric drive modules (EDMs). One of the car's EMDs powers the front wheels, while a second powers the rear wheels. This saves battery power and driving range by only powering one EDM. The 3-in-1 EDMs combine the electric motor, gearing, and power electronics into an efficient and powerful single compact unit. The Wagoneer S also provides thrilling performance with 600 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. This power translates into a 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds. The Wagoneer S is built on the STLA Large BEV platform and features an 800-volt architecture. The front and rear EDMs power their designated wheels independently of each other to provide instant torque response, adding to the excitement of driving the Wagoneer S!

With upcoming EVs, there are often changes in the estimate of its driving range, but Jeep has given us a pretty good idea of just how efficient the all-new Wagoneer S is. As of now, the estimated driving range of the Wagoneer S is 300 miles. However, this number can vary due to a variety of factors. Vehicle weight, for example. Taking on more occupants or heavy cargo adds to the vehicle's weight, using more power to keep the car moving, using more battery, and decreasing range. Your driving habits also impact the vehicle's range, as drivers with a heavier foot tend to experience lower range than more reserved drivers. As far as charging goes, the Wagoneer S can be charged by a Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 charger. With a Level 1 charger, it takes about three days to give the Wagoneer S a full charge, as it only uses a simple 120-volt household outlet. Meanwhile, using a 240-volt Level 2 EV charging station, which can be found at a public charging station or installed at your home, provides the Wagoneer S with a full charge in eight to ten hours, depending on the battery percentage at the time it is plugged in. Finally, a Level 3 EV charger is only available for all-electric vehicles and is only found at public charging stations. Charging the Wagoneer S with a DC Fast Charger gets you back on the road fast, with a full charge in 15 to 60 minutes!

By using an EDM on both axles, the Wagoneer S provides drivers with full-time four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is known to provide optimal traction and performance both on smooth dry roads and in less-than-ideal weather and road conditions. When coasting on the highway, however, the Wagoneer S will switch to rear-wheel drive, activating the front EDMs wheel disconnect feature. This disengages the front EDM, saving battery power and increasing the vehicle's range. The performance of the Wagoneer S can also be controlled by Jeep's exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system, which features Auto, Sport, Eco, Sand, and Snow modes. By selecting a mode, the vehicle will automatically make adjustments to the power output, torque distribution, traction control, and other powertrain functions to provide optimal performance on the selected terrain. For example, in Sport mode, the vehicle will maximize power output and optimize the torque distribution to provide an exhilarating ride. Meanwhile, snow mode makes adjustments to the traction control systems and lowers the power output to maintain traction when it becomes limited. Eco mode helps stretch your range to help get you to the nearest charging station by limiting power output and taking other measures to reserve battery power.
